The Japanese women’s national team, led by Masayoshi Manabe, has announced its 40-man roster.
Ahead of major events such as the upcoming 2023 International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) Volleyball Nations League (VNL) and the Paris 2024 Olympic Qualifying Tournament, Japan has announced the 40-member women’s team roster.
Japan, which ranks sixth in the FIVB ranking and second highest in Asia, included 13 out of 14 players who participated in the FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Championships held in the Netherlands and Poland last year. This includes all but Libero Mami Uchiseto. Japan took 5th place in this competition.
One thing to note is the addition of Miyu Nagaoka, a 31-year-old spiker who last played for the national team in 2018. He was named MVP at the 2013-2014 Asian Club Championship and was named Best Outside Hitter at the 2014 World Grand Prix. He also won the best apogee twice in the Japanese V-League.
Along with the veteran, the youngest player, Kyoei Gakuen (16), also joined the national team. He is also the child of Ai Otomo, a volleyball player who won bronze medals at the 2012 London Olympics and 2010 World Championships. 안전놀이터

Team attack efficiency exceeded 30%, approaching the world level, but there is still a big gap with other countries in blocking. is our weakness. It is an area that needs to be improved in the future,” he said, revealing how to envision the team in the upcoming international stage.
