The duo, who both serve as pundits for Sky Sports in the U.K., revealed their picks for the best players, best signings, and standout eleven of the 2022-23 season during Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football show on Sunday (Sept. 23).
First up, Neville’s best eleven is the 4-3-3 formation. Kieran Trippier (Newcastle United), William Saliba (Arsenal), Jubeng Dias (Manchester City), and Peris Estupinan (Brighton) formed the back four, with Nick Pope (Newcastle United) in goal 메이저사이트.
Carragher’s best eleven was five different from Neville’s. His list for the 4-3-3 formation had Mohamed Salah (Liverpool), Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur), and Holland up front, with the same three midfielders. In defense, Sven Boatman (Newcastle United) and Oleksandr Zinchenko (Arsenal) were added, while Alisson Becké (Liverpool) donned the goalkeeping gloves.
According to the UK’s Daily Mail, “Carragher disagreed with Salah’s inclusion. Neville argued that Salah had fallen below his usual level, while Carragher explained his reasons for selecting Dias, saying: ‘I think he’s been fantastic since he came to City. He also explained his choice of Boateng: ‘He has the best defensive record in the league. He’s been keeping clean sheets every week’.”
