Nongshim Red Force Head Coach Heo Young-cheol
“In the first set, the players were focused until the 15th minute. Even though we were at a disadvantage, we did a good job of taking advantage of line-swaps and creating variables through later designs. As a result, we had a sense of stability in our combinations and thought that we would be fine in the second half. However, I was disappointed that I lost my concentration and felt like I was at a natural disadvantage. In the second set, we made some mistakes in the beginning, but Genji is a good team, so they pressurised us with their early rolls, and we lost a bit easily.
I feel like we’re lacking a lot in the design department. We feel this way in scrimmages too, so we talk a lot about how we have these strengths in this situation, so let’s design like this. Even when I come to a tournament, I try to design, but I need to check the variables that my opponent can respond to together, but I feel like I trip over my own feet because I can’t detail that part. This is something we are currently practising, and I think the players will need some time.
We still have the DePlus Kia game this week, and we will come back with a good performance like we did yesterday against OK Savings Bank Brion.”
