Italian Serie A side Inter Milan has won its second consecutive Coppa Italia (Italian Cup) title.
It’s a good feeling for the Nerazzurri as they look ahead to next month’s UEFA Champions League final.
The Nerazzurri came from behind to beat Fiorentina 2-1 in the 2022-2023 Coppa Italia final at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, Italy, on Sunday (Sept. 25), thanks to a multi-goal performance from Lautaro Martinez.
Inter Milan won their second consecutive title and ninth overall, tying them with AS Roma for the second most wins in the competition. Juventus has won the competition more times (14).
Coincidentally, the matchup pits Inter Milan, who reached the UEFA Champions League final (June 11 at 4:00 AM), against Fiorentina, who reached the UEFA Confederations League final (June 8 at 4:00 AM).
Inter Milan will play Manchester City (England) in the UEFA Champions League final, while Fiorentina will face West Ham United (England) in the UEFA Conference League final. 안전놀이터
Inter Milan conceded a goal to Fiorentina’s Nicolas Gonzalez in the third minute of the first half.
Inter Milan equalized in the 29th minute. The hero was Lautaro Martinez.
Martinez collected a forward pass from Marcelo Brozovic and tied the game with a right-footed shot from the right side of the goal area.
Martinez scored the game-winner eight minutes later with a right-footed volley from the front of the goal area off a cross from Nicolo Varela on the right side of the penalty area.
Napoli, the 2022-2023 Serie A champions with Kim “Iron Pillar” Min-jae, made an early exit from the competition in the round of 16.
