Kim Eun-gyo (16, Incheon Physical Education High School) won a silver medal by setting a personal best record in the first international competition she participated in.

Kim Eun-gyo jumped 15m08 in the men’s triple jump final at the 5th Asian Youth Championships under 18 held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on the 28th (local time) and she came second.

Lee Eun-bin (16, Jeonnam Gymnasium) advanced through the women’s 100m preliminaries and semifinals, but only finished sixth with a time of 12 seconds 17, 0.25 seconds slower than her personal best of 11 seconds 92.

In the women’s 100m, Leila Kamal (Bahrain) won with a time of 11.77 seconds.

Kim Dong-jin (16, Daegu Physical High School) placed 7th in the men’s 100m final with a time of 10.91 seconds. He was 0.18 seconds slower than the Korean middle school student record of 10 seconds 73, set last year when he was a junior in middle school.

Wu Haolin (China) was the first to cross the finish line in 10.55 seconds.

Park Ji-young (16, Gyeongbuk Physical Education High School) placed 4th in the women’s 100m hurdles with a time of 14.71, and Na Hyun-ju (17, Gwangju Physical Education High School) placed 6th in the men’s 400m with a time of 48.94.
