Woojin Jang advances to the first quarterfinals of the WTT Champions

Jang Woo-jin (Korea Armed Forces Sports Corps), a star of Korean men’s table tennis, reached the quarterfinals of the World Table Tennis (WTT) Champions Macau.

Jang Woo-jin, ranked 18th in the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) ranking, defeated Anton Calveri (31st) of Sweden 3-0 in the WTT Champions men’s singles round of 16 held in Macau on the 20th.

This is the first time Jang Woo-jin has reached the quarterfinals in this tournament. In the past two participations, both were eliminated in the round of 32.

Woojin Jang will face the winner of the match between Matthias Falke (25th) of Sweden and Chuchin Wang (2nd place, China) in the quarterfinals.

Champions have the most prize money and ranking points at stake in WTT tournaments, except for the Grand Smash, which is a major tournament, the Cup Finals, and the World Championship. 안전놀이터
